Well upon installing the game being it's directed to Steam to do so, it's asking for the Product Code to activate the game and start the install.
you "could" do a local game on your LAN, have to create a private match in order to do that. Creating a private match you have the option to set what mode you want, how many bots you want per team, what map you want to play on or random rotation of maps, skill level of the bots, etc.
yeah, the languange files have been patched, so if you have a polish version - like me - or a russian, you'll either have to play in polish/russian language or wait for someone who uploades the changed english language files^^
